Richard Y. Liu, DMD, MMSc

Using an artistic and gentle approach to improve the lives of his patients.
Our dental team leader Dr. Richard Liu smiling and wearing his Evergreen uniform

Dr. Liu lives in the seacoast of New Hampshire with his wife and two sons. New Hampshire dentists have voted Dr. Richard Liu a “Top Prosthodontist” in the state for 2017 – the ninth time the Harvard-trained dentist has received this recognition from his peers.

With the sensitivity of an artist (you can see his watercolors on his Newington office walls) the gentle Dr. Liu uses his craft to make people look (and feel) their best.

“Many people don’t realize the degree to which their teeth affect their appearance. A person’s teeth must relate properly to their facial profile. We are here to help you and make you feel comfortable.” – Dr. Liu

At his successful dental practice, Evergreen Dental Care, Dr. Liu performs top-notch family dentistry as well as specialty services such as bridge and crown restorations, implants, bonding, veneers, Zoom! one-hour whitening, Invisalign®, CEREC® crowns, and more.

In addition to treating patients, Dr. Liu also instructs dental students at Harvard and Tufts. A clinical instructor at Harvard School of Dentistry and assistant dental professor at Tufts, Dr. Liu is shaping the next generation of dentists from around the world who study in Boston.

Dr. Liu is well known in the dental community and receives regular requests to speak all over the globe. The recognition and awards keep rolling in but Dr. Liu humbly brushes off the accolades. He’d much rather be working in his dental practice – helping his patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. He is also bi-lingual; he is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Jill Harrison, DMD

Treating her patients like family and caring for their overall health.

Dr. Harrison grew up in Windham, NH and attended Salem High School before graduating with a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University. She obtained her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania where she was one of twelve members of her class to be elected to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

After receiving additional training through a General Practice Residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, she worked in private practice before relocating back to New Hampshire in 2015.

Dr. Harrison performs all aspects of general dentistry including crowns and bridges, implant restorations, bonding, veneers, Zoom! One-hour whitening, Invisalign®, CEREC® Same Day crowns, and more. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is committed to improving her skills through a wide variety of continuing education classes, including Spear Education® seminars and study clubs.

“I am committed to giving patients all their options and recommending treatment based on how I would want to treat myself and my own family.” – Dr. Harrison

Dr. Harrison had to have a dental implant placed as a teenager and her oral surgeon encouraged her to consider dentistry. She thinks it’s a good match for her skills and interests because she enjoys working with her hands, talking to people, and it involves aspects of medicine, science, and art.

She says the best part of her job is when she’s finished working on a patient and they look in the mirror and smile at how quickly and easily our treatment has changed their appearance for the better and raised their self-confidence.

Dr. Harrison grew up in Windham, NH and attended Salem High School before graduating with a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University. After living in Philadelphia for dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and Chicago for residency, she moved back to New Hampshire in 2015.

During her residency, she worked in a private practice setting but also did rotations on anesthesia, oral surgery, plastic surgery, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT). Following that Dr. Harrison worked at two offices in Chicago practicing general dentistry until she relocated back to New Hampshire in 2015.

Outside of the Office

Dr. Harrison likes being active and enjoys hiking in the White Mountains, skiing, biking, and running. She then likes to cook healthy meals to refuel. She loves reading novels, historical fiction being one of her favorite genres, and makes time to watch the Patriots play.

Lesson From Mom

Two pieces of mom’s advice that Dr. Harrison thinks are applicable in dentistry are “Treat others how you’d like to be treated,” and “Do it right the first time so you don’t have to do it again.”

What Flavor Ice Cream Would She Be?

Vanilla is her favorite flavor. It’s classic, not too sweet, can be dressed up with sprinkles and chocolate sauce or enjoyed just as it is!

I couldn't be happier with how my teeth came out, perfect color match, natural shapes. Dr. Harrison definitely has an eye for aesthetics, but also the skills to achieve great results. Dr. Liu is also a very skilled and knowledgeable dentist. He was not pushy, instead he explained possible scenarios if left untreated and left decision making up to me.

Robert Bardell
Office Manager

Originally from Exeter, NH, Robert now lives on a farm in Maine. His interest in dentistry stems from how oral health can play a factor in overall health. This knowledge led him to choose dentistry because of the lack of oral health awareness in his communities.
